Cartagena, an essential product in the tradition of Languedoc.

Grape varieties: 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 20% Cinsault
Soil: Clay and limestone
Yield: 30 hl / ha
Alcoholic strength: 17.3% vol. of alcohol and 184g / L of unfermented sugars.
Elaboration: The Cartagène du Domaine Galtier is made from grape must mutated with Languedoc wine brandy, followed by aging in oak barrels for around 18 months.

  • To be served as an aperitif or as a dessert wine: a rum baba, a tart with seasonal fruits, a dark chocolate dessert, ... and gives an almost perfect match with Roquefort.
